12) When are my visitors intercepted to participate in the survey and how do they complete it?

If one of your visitors is randomly selected to participate in the survey, he/she will be invited to participate on arrival to your website and will complete the survey itself on exit. We intercept on arrival in order to adhere to be best practices of random sampling. The invitation will give your visitor the option to select “yes” or “no”. When they make their selection, they will then proceed to their visit. If they select “no,” no further action is necessary. If they select “yes,” a second window will pop-under, automatically minimizing itself to the taskbar. This window, which contains the survey itself, will wait in the background until the visitor is finished his/her session. The visitor will need to retrieve the second window manually to commence the 4Q website survey. The survey employs a self-scroll methodology, which means that the visitor only has to indicate his/her answer; the movement between questions is done automatically.
